Continue communications of illustration standards to publications group with a standard location on the network drive that can be used for new contractors and the existing writing group.
Continue the archive process for illustration and CATIA V5 models and start researching what changes could be coming with the new CATIA 3DX implementation and if any changes could be incorporated into the illustration process for defense publications.
Continue to research printing options for CD/DVD printers and develop a case study to see if other options might work better than ink jet printing or more cost efficient for the volume of CD/DVD we deliver.
The development of the desktop procedures for illustrations entitled book "Instructions" works for our illustrations group. In the coming months see if we can develop more refined How To documents for the illustration process that aligns with the Desktop Procedures DTPs on the network I Drive, similar to the Writing and Editing standards.
Rob, you have a great start on generating some new cockpit illustrations that enhance the graphic representation from existing line drawings on the cubicle walls.
Please continue to develop updated illustration that can support training efforts for the military pilots.
Rob - It was a good start to a new grade level Engineer Tech Pubs (P1) to (P2) mid 2024 and we need to continue to strengthen your business knowledge and perspective while increasing a leadership quality with the publications department. You continue to develop good job results on illustrations to support the T-6, AT-6, and Special Missions programs. A push goal for 2025 would be to research and identify a Textron University training class that could assist with increasing strong peer and leader relationships. I value your continued support of legacy illustration data and development of new enhancements is very helpful for Defense Publications team.
Let's set some specific, achievable goals for the next review period. This will give us a clear path forward and help track your progress.

Nice job this past year Rob. There were a lot of requirements thrown at you with respect to illustrations. You managed to get everything done while bringing another illustrator up to speed with the current processes used in Defense and Special Missions. You are very knowledgeable, consistent, and careful of your work.
You work well with the team and willing to go the extra distance to complete important tasks. Thank You.
No opportunity during the first half of the year to work any prodivity improvements, however, Rob is training another illustrator to use the military and special missions tools and processes.
Rob Works well with all writers. Has supported all writer requirements and deliverables well. Is always willing to go the extra mile and spend time to complete something when time is short.
Rob is doing a great job with the AT-6 and other smaller NPD programs. Even with another illustrator to support Rob, there is a large amount of work to keep up on. Good job Rob.

Completed all assigned tasks for printer conversion. Continue to track illustrations.
End of Year: You have accomplished important work this past year. Your work will be referred to for years to come. Setting up a good system is important for those who come after you. I also think you did a good job giving Nick some training in your area too. He will be a valuable asset for you as a backup. Continue your work to develop his knowledge of the specifics of the T-6 and Special Missions illustrating requirements. Thank You.
Rob has completed all of the illustrations requests that he has taken in for all customer projects. He has also received high praise for his illustrating efforts on the AT-6 by some outside of the publications organization.
During the preparation phase to send AT-1 and AT-3 to Holloman, Rob was asked to complete new high definition training aids for pilot training in Holloman.
The task completion schedule was very demanding and there was a lot of work to accomplish. Rob completed the work in time and to a high degree of quality. Program and Flight Test were extremely pleased.
End of Year: Great year Rob on support of all fielded aircraft changes and for the AT. You got kudos from several persons involved in the AT program for your support during LAE. Your team attitude shows. Thank You.
Rob, I appreciate the preparations made to ease the turnaround times on artwork. You have seen this for many years now and you know what to expect.
I think positioning yourself by working smarter is excellent when it comes to quick turn new product development projects.

Rob is assigned illustrations support for the T-6 and Special Missions.
In this role Rob is the single point of contact and content creation for these platforms. He has completed all assigned tasks without issues and within the times needed.
Rob is very conscientious about his work and produces good quality art quickly. Rob is highly thought of by his peers, he has a great attitude and will take the extra time to make sure his customers needs are met.
Rob also had the opportunity in the first half of the year to work with the Scorpion marketing team in the development of artwork.
His work was well received and appreciated by the Scorpion team. He was also a major contributor to the T-6 Kit catalog effort in which he provided all of the illustrations for the catalog. Thank You Rob.

As the only illustrator in the group rob has not had the opportunity to train in writing or train other writers in illustrations.
As time permits Rob has projects that he can complete to benefit both himself and all of BDC. Two of those projects are CATIA model printed for reference and completion of the released data CD archive conversion to DIV_INFO.
End of Year: Rob was able to provide some assistance in the completion of the CD Archive conversion to DIV_INFO.
When asked Rob is willing to work on projects outside of his skill set.
Rob is maintaining an illustrations per page hour average less than .75. This is a positive indication that he is consistently produces changes without a lot of rework.
Rob was asked to support the Scorpion team and for Tech Marketing off and on in 2016 to produce display information and illustrations for kit catalogs.
Rob must continue to push his boundaries and begin to learn new skill sets outside his areas of knowledge.
He had an opportunity to do some of this over the last 12 months when asked to help on the Scorpion program and kit catalog project.

We need to continue to work on integration of the basic methods of producing illustrations in all of publications.
Work with your counterparts on the Commercial side to come up with new standards. Thus far you have made solid accomplishments in working with them to produce illustrations and storage of illustrations in approved locations.
End of Year: It was determined that a centralized ID generation is not required of Government Business and Special Missions at this time due to the storage location differences and amount of interaction that would be required of non-GBD writers.
As of mid-year Rob has not had an opportunity to look into using bunkspeed in T6 publications.
End of Year: Due to contractual requirements and work Rob did not have the opportunity to evaluate bunk speed.
Continue to be productive trying to keep your hours per page to .75 or less on average as a goal. Two month measured performance is .73 HPP. You will also need to consider working on other projects that do not involve illustration work to fill gaps in work. As we move forward it is managements goal to provide metrics tools to help measure performance to better understand individual performance.
End of Year: As of the period May through December your hours per page was .79. Continue to work towards a lower cumulative goal.
Rob has participted in all required weekly gemba meetings.
End of Year: Rob is the only illustrator assigned to GBD and Special Missions. He does a good job of supporting both business units daily.
