Achievement Highlights: In 2013
Rob continued to make major contributions as the lead illustrator in the Government Business, Technical Publications Department. He consistently demonstrated his abilities by producing illustrations for the AT-6C LAS proposal, T-6A/B revisions, CSTO A revision, T-6 Temporary Revisions (TR), and Mexico Supplements that directly affected the overall quality of the documents. Rob also accepted responsibility for performing quality reviews on the integrated flight and maintenance manual PDF files. He inspected 20 manuals with no negative comments from the customer’s review. To further ensure quality, he received training to import illustrations into FrameMaker to make sure all illustrations import properly, before releasing the illustrations for final incorporation into the manuals. Additionally, Rob converted numerous illustrations from the T-6 and AT-6 Wiring Diagram Manual (371), Illustrated Parts Catalog (535), Canopy Maintenance Manual (136), Egress Manual (47), and Structural Repair Manual (163) from Xyvision to PDF format. By completing the conversion process in a timely manner, he made sure that system testing of the new parts/wires database could be completed when scheduled. Rob consistently demonstrates that he is not only a highly skilled illustrator, but also a team player who is willing to accept added responsibility to learn increasingly harder tasks to help the Technical Publications team achieve its goals.
Performance Trends:
Rob consistently meets expectations and his acceptance of additional responsibilities outside of his normal duties allowed writers to focus on priority tasks, making sure all tasks were completed on schedule and met or exceeded customer satisfaction. He is not only proving to be a key member of the Technical Publication’s team, but to the Program Excellence team as well. His regular attendance at software development meetings is helping to develop Bunkspeed 3D rendering software that will aid in the development of promotional presentations. Rob’s positive attitude and acceptance of challenging tasks directly contribute to the increased quality of the flight and maintenance manuals.
